NURSE PRACTITIONER INTERN
Burwood Health is fortunate to have Sarah C, one of our practice nurses, training to be a Nurse Practitioner at the practice this year.
As a Nurse Practitioner Intern, Sarah is able to see patients at the practice under the guidance of her clinical supervisor. Nurse Practitioner Interns are able to see patients at all ages and stages of life, the same as your usual doctor.
Consultations will be for approximately 30 minutes, where Sarah can:
- discuss your medical history
- undertake necessary diagnostic testing (including blood tests and xrays)
- review any complex chronic conditions (such as diabetes and hypertension)
- discuss women’s health, men’s health and family planning
- refer to other health care providers, including the practice’s Health Improvement Practitioner and Health Coach
- assist patients in their health journey
Once your appointment is completed, your case will be reviewed by Sarah and her clinical supervisor. This is an important part of a Nurse Practitioner Intern’s training as it allows for further recommendations, guidance and education to develop their skillset and medical knowledge.
If you would like to book an appointment with Sarah C, please contact our reception team.
AVAILABLE: Tuesday 9am – 12pm, Thursday 9am -12pm, Thursday 2pm – 5pm, Friday 9am – 12pm
