BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT

Burwood Health will make every effort to offer you an appointment at your preferred time with your doctor, however, this may not always be possible.

If your doctor is unavailable, our reception team will offer you the next available appointment.  Alternatively, you may be able to see one of our other doctors or Nurse Practitioner (Intern) and we will gladly assist in organizing this appointment times.

If your condition is urgent, please advise reception and you will be connected with a nurse and triaged. The practice has available extra appointments each day for urgent appointments.

If your appointment is going to be delayed due an emergency at the practice, our reception team will contact you to advise and if necessary reschedule your appointment.  We make every effort to ensure that your appointment will be on time, however, sometimes this is out of our control.

APPOINTMENT TIMES – DOCTORS / NURSE PRACTITIONER (INTERN)

The practices standard consultation time with a Doctor is 15 minutes.  During this time, we ask that you limit your appointment to two (2) health concerns, including any script requests.  Please note that the practice cannot guarantee the doctor will be able to discuss both of your health concerns during the one appointment, especially if you require several referrals or investigations are required.  Therefore, you may be asked to arrange another appointment time.

If you feel that you will need more time for your appointment, please advise reception of this at the time of booking and a nurse will contact you to discuss the matter further.

APPOINTMENT TIMES – NURSES

Appointments with the nurse are available at 15 minute intervals.  Some appointment require more time, so please advise our reception team when booking your appointment if you are unsure.

LATE ARRIVALS

If you arrive late for your appointment and have not advised the practice prior to your appointment time, then you may be asked to reschedule your appointment.
